“Every journey begins with the first step.” I have heard that my whole life. I have never heard anyone say, “ make sure the journey is worth the step.” For me, archery has been and continues to be a journey worth every step. It’s has been a pleasure and a challenge to learn how to participate in this great sport and to help others do the same. Archery has helped me stay connected with my family as a shared interest. I have guided my children and now grandchildren on their journey. I have learned skills and crafts that were practiced hundreds, if not thousands of years ago. I have met people that I now count among the best friends I have ever known. And now, in the next step of my journey, I am sharing what I have learned along the way with people from all over the world, so they may start a journey of their own.
